Claire's Best Friend.

Everyone has a best friend. Most of us would say we have multiple best friends. My sweet girls, Claire and Ruth, are best friends. Claire's other best friend is her Our Generation doll, Reese.

Reese is a doll on the go with her passport, camera and MP3 player. With our recent move from Florida to Pennsylvania, they've had a lot to talk about! ;) We love the many options that are available with the OG dolls.

Each of the available dolls has a story. They have interests and hobbies that including helping others. Other girls are able to relate to the dolls and find commonality. Through the dolls' stories they come to understand that small acts of kindness can go a very long way, which I absolutely love! As the packaging states, as girls we are "dreamers and doers"!

Another thing I love about Our Generation is that it is an eco-friendly brand. They create their packaging from recycled materials and soy ink. A portion of each purchase goes to Free the Children's Power of a Girl Initiative.

Teaching my three year old Kindergarten

Claire has always wanted to learn. She was always first at the milestones and she has kept me on my toes since then. Claire wants to know WHY things are what they are. She has full conversations with me, and she challenges me daily. I'm always looking for something for her to do. That's when I went looking for more help then Pinterest could give me. I wanted a plan and curriculum that worked for us. I found a Kindergarten Complete Full Year binder. Now I will say that this is not for everyone. Claire is very receptive, but not every three years old is going to be the same. It was intended for ages 4-5yrs. I don't push her and we go on a very relaxed schedule. I just love this kit that we have a plan. We always just pick up where we left off.

This all-inclusive, literature-based curriculum provides detailed lesson plans created around thematic units with a biblical worldview. These units cover skills in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Physical Development, Fitness, Fine Arts, Character Development, and Bible. The teacher’s manual includes step-by-step instructions, activities for different learning styles, all practice worksheets for each lesson, reading practice pages, enrichment activities to challenge advanced learners, patterns for art projects, handwriting guidelines, and an appendix with resources. Its everything I would have wanted and more! Im so excited to share it! Claire and I started a little over a month ago and I can see how much progress she has already learned. If you are looking to start learning early or if you need a complete Kindergarten kit I would recommend www.educents.com.

One of my favorate things about a homeschool curriculum is that we can do it anywhere! Today it was on the back porch!

The worksheets are so easy to follow. As easy as 1,2,3. Claire likes doing it with a pen. She feels so official!
