Burley, ride to the adventure!

Our family loves to spend time together! Whether it's sharing meals, jumping on the trampoline or visiting with friends, we love whatever time we can get. We love "our adventures"!

We recently moved from Florida to the country of central Pennsylvania. We went from visiting parks in the city to seeing cows behind our house. Our two girls are super sweet and active, but Ruth is still too small to pedal a bike on her own. And with her training wheels, four-year-old Claire can't keep up with us. Our family bike rides were a bit of a challenge.

So when we discovered the Honey Bee by Burley we were thrilled! The girls can ride together while being pulled behind me or their dad. We both pulled the trailer to test the weight. I'm impressed that the Honey bee was so easy to pull. The perfect lightweight kids trailer. They love the fact that they are going along for the ride while laughing and playing in the cart. And they really get to be apart of the ride and enjoy the views. That huge for us!

Through all of our rides, Claire and Ruth always tell us what they are seeing. "Look, mommy, the cows!" or "Wow Mommy, Daddy is beating you on the bike." haha or the countless giggles I always hear inside the Honey Bee!

As their parents, we also love that they are safe in the Honey Bee. The 5-point harnesses are strong and the seats are comfortable for the girls. The stroller arm can act as a roll bar for added safety. We can even zip the trailer closed if the weather decides to take a turn for the worse. There's also storage in the back for a few toys that the girls can't leave behind. My husband is a stickler for durability, and this definitely hits the mark!

One great part about the Honey Bee is that the pull behind trailer can convert into a conventional stroller. It's so versatile, we were able to replace of one of our bigger items with this! It's also so convenient that it collapses for smaller storage when we aren't using it. We recommend the Honey Bee to all of our friends and family with small kids. We want to share something that we enjoy with them so that someday we can all go riding together. Off to our next Adventure!

Thank you,

April, Claire (4), and Ruth (2).

Claire's Best Friend.

Everyone has a best friend. Most of us would say we have multiple best friends. My sweet girls, Claire and Ruth, are best friends. Claire's other best friend is her Our Generation doll, Reese.

Reese is a doll on the go with her passport, camera and MP3 player. With our recent move from Florida to Pennsylvania, they've had a lot to talk about! ;) We love the many options that are available with the OG dolls.

Each of the available dolls has a story. They have interests and hobbies that including helping others. Other girls are able to relate to the dolls and find commonality. Through the dolls' stories they come to understand that small acts of kindness can go a very long way, which I absolutely love! As the packaging states, as girls we are "dreamers and doers"!

Another thing I love about Our Generation is that it is an eco-friendly brand. They create their packaging from recycled materials and soy ink. A portion of each purchase goes to Free the Children's Power of a Girl Initiative.

Find your little one's future BFF at Walmart, Target or https://www.ogdolls.com!

Beddy's The BEST Bedding solution.

We recently started a new chapter in our lives that involves downsizing temporarily to a Camper. We're a family of 4 living in a camper for the foreseeable future! The girls are sharing a room for the first time - which is exciting - and we needed to find new bedding for them asap!

We were thrilled to discover Beddy's! They make special mattress covers for all sizes, including RV's and campers. One of the best features is the fact that I don't have to move around the bed to make it! The bedding zips into place. We choose the Twin Totally Unexpected Beddy's. I just love seeing our space all come together with just a ZIP!

They were incredibly simple to put on. I pulled the mattress off the bunk, put the bedding in place and zipped the mattress into it! Easy as can can be!

The girls love the pattern of their Beddy's - it doesn't hurt that the color pink is involved! - and they look beautiful when you walk into their bedroom. The colors absolutely pop!

The material is super soft and I rest easy knowing my girls are comfortable in their beds. Nap time and bed time are made *that much* easier when I know they enjoy their surroundings.

Beddy's came to my attention at the exact moment I needed them! We hope that you will love them as much as we do. Visit https://beddys.com to see their beautiful patterns and which of their many options may fit your needs!

Savor It All

Savior.It.All. I truly love those words. And to often we don't take time to savor the moments in life. With 2 sweet girls, we make memories every single day and I don't want to forget a single moment! I was thrilled when I found Savor It All. I knew it was the perfect fit for us to keep those special memories! They are a unique way to save memories from our baby's life. Each box has multiple compartments to store the items that meant the most during that first, pivotal year.  And Savor It All is just a beautiful memories display on a bookshelf.

I wish we'd had a Savor box for Claire, but we love that all of Ruthie's keepsakes will be able to be found in one place. Ultrasound pictures, an invitation for her shower, Ruthie's favorite giraffe rattle, pacifier, and more can be found in the box. Claire's School age Savor box will be our next purchase.

Ruthie's grown so much over the last two and a half years, but it's still so amazing how tiny her feet were! A tiny pair of socks will forever be encapsulated and remind us what a beautiful miracle both of our girls have been.

If you love the idea of the Savor box (and we're sure you do!), you can get yours at savor.us. You can keep momentos from your childrens' first year, school, and even the wedding day! We hope you treasure those special memories with trinkets that will forever hold a place your heart.

Primp + Pretties Play Makeup

Claire and Ruth are so girly. And when I say girly I mean big bows, dresses, baby dolls, and play makeup. I was so excited when we found Primp + Pretties cosmetics. Check them out here: https://primpandpretties.com This adorable play makeup is perfect for our girls.

What materials are Primp + Pretties cosmetics made of? The products are designed to look like real make-up, but without toxic materials. Isn't that awesome! It is fake make-up intended for creative play! All of the products are made using real cosmetic cases and the contents inside are child friendly, mess free, non-transferable and non-toxic. All Primp + Pretties cosmetics are handmade to ensure the highest level of quality. Check out a few of my favorite photos of the girls loving everything!

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Pappy.

This morning, I was talking to Claire about Pappy and that it was his birthday today. She immedantly yells "Happy Birthday in Heaven Pappy Clair. Mommy, Do you think Pappy heard me?"                                                                                                                                               We all loved Pappy so much. And its so amazing to see Claire's sweet heart towards it all. We wish we could selfish and have him here with us, but we know that he is in a better place. We all want to keep that memory of Pappy. In our families case that is to restore his home. As I sit here tonight I think of the story of Pap I haven't shared much of. Our dreams of a home built from his family to ours family. Let me share our story about this home.

Paps house 1.jpg
Paps house 2.jpg

First, thank you for taking the time to read this story or letter of love for this beautiful home!!  I'm writting this letter with a vision of what our family legacy will one day be as we carry on our family's heritage in this home.

Our new home is located in the heart of PA. The house is nestled in a very small community in Centre County. We call our new home "Pap's House."  This house was originally built in the 1800's, and additions were made in the earlly 1900's.  This home has been the foundation of my husband's family throughout the years. It was the place where anyone was welcome, where generations of families were reared, and where I see our family continuing to live for generations to come.

Clair with his children. 2016.

Clair with his children. 2016.

Well a little about the man we got to call Pappy. Clair "Pap" Sheats was a 93 years old fireball! haha!  He was still driving until about a year ago when he moved out of his home to live with one of his daughter.  Pap has cherished this home through the years, and it is where he wants his grandson, Mark, to carry on the family's legacy. As long as I can remember my husband Mark and I have dreamed of living in "Pap's House."  We would reminisce about all the family gatherings held there. We had dreams of fixing up the house after Mark and I finished college this included lively discussions of floor plans, renovations, and even children! We knew that the house needed "us" as much as we needed it to make it our forever home. Life, however, doesn't always happen as planned. After Mark and I were married, we moved away to Florida to pursue our careers. We had no money, so fixing up "Pap's house" wasn't an option then.

Over the past 9 years in Florida, Mark and I have started a family, and we now have two beautiful daughters with plans for more children. We visit PA at every opportunity...all vacations & every other Christmas, but as time has gone on, we have started to feel that something is missing...our family in Pennsylvania & our legacy!

Our family.png

In 2015 Mark's dad, Jon, was diagnosed with Leukemia. We decided at that point to move back to PA.  Since there were no homes available, and renovating "Pap's house" was too big for us to tackle at the time, we were not able to make the move.  This past January, Leukemia inevitably took Jon from us.  Mark and I live everyday thinking about the decision that we made to stay in Florida as long as we have. NO MORE.

After Jon's passing, Mark and I decided to officially make our dreams of renovating "Pap's House" a reality.  With hopes to start renovations starting this year, we want to restore this once beautiful home that had so much life and happiness to it's former glory and more!  We know that we are being called home to PA to be with family and supporting each other during this difficult time.

We also need you, someone out there! We are looking for a team with an incredible vision and a passion for restoring diamonds in the rough like "Pap's house."  Right now the house holds many memories from generations of our family, and we want to REVIVE this house making our family's hopes and dreams a reality by adding even more generations of memories!

The design and construction need a lot of help!  The upstairs does not have a defined living space, hallways, or bathrooms.  There are 32+windows and 9 exterior doors on the bottom floor. The foundation is stone, and the basement has a dirt floor.  We would like an open floor plan with lots of natural light (insert photographer sigh) from all those windows!  Our vision is restoring the rustic farmhouse with shiplap, wood, a neutral palette, and clean lines.  Ultimately we want
to keep as much essence of the home as possible but with updates to make it ours.

Claire and Ruth wanted to share a little about Pappy's house too!

We see the beauty in this home, even if its pink! lol

They say home is where your heart is and our heart is in Pennsylvania.
We are ready to go home!!

Love this dreaming family,

Mark, April, Claire & Ruthie

We did her birthday at our favorite cupcake shop Smallcakes. Smallcakes is a locally owned cupcake shop that make the most wonderful treats. I love that the cupcakes are made fresh everyday. All the kids decorated cupcakes then devored them! haha We opened gifts and handed out Tuti Fruiti Play Douh and our Darell Lea Soft Liquorice! It was a perfect sweet birthday party!! Happy Second Birthday Ruth!

I'm sitting here shopping with some Big & Littles pipcorn, while writing this blog!! (multitaskting) I will say before I got my bowl the girls knew what was up. Claire and Ruth love popcorn. If we walk into target the first thing Ruth says it POPCORN?! But I dont love all types of popcorn. I want the good stuff for them. made with good ingredants. Our Washabelle BED!!

Hello Friends, the secret is out! Claire has a washable bed! Yes, I said that right. The bed is WASHABLE. I'm so grateful for the bed company Washabelle. You can find more about them here: https://washabelle.com/  How it works! Your Washabelle can be washed and dried right at home. Simply unzip and wash the components separately in your washer and dryer as needed. Then they’ll be ready to go right back to bed. And so can you. I talked to the owner of Washabelle and she was amazing. Annie created these beds with a purpose!  that they can help all children to sleep well and be specail

So ours was delivered fast and it was easy to set up. Claire was thrilled! We got the bed when we were ready to transition her to a big girl bed. Right after we finished potty training. It was the perfect time just in case we had an accdent in bed we could clean it. I looked up all those waterproof bed covers, but I have never liked the idea of one those sticky‑stinky‑plasticky mattress covers.

We have been using the Washabelle bed for almost a year now and I still have NO complaints!! Most nights I almost fall asleep on the bed with her and don't want to leave it. It's so comfy and soft.  When I was choosing the toddler bed I wanted something comfortable and duable. The Washabelle did is just that. I definitely recommend this bed to everyone!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of claire loving her bed. You can put it on the floor, or on a frame. We have done both.  Claire also loves that she does not have to put sheets on it if she doesn't want to and often sleeps on it without them. The ability to wash it gives me peace of mind.

Again WE LOVE OURS!! I will be purchasing a second for Ruth my youngest in the near future. Thank you for reading! Please let me know if you have any questions! And don't forget to follow us on Instagram @organicallyadorable

Teaching my three year old Kindergarten

Claire has always wanted to learn. She was always first at the milestones and she has kept me on my toes since then. Claire wants to know WHY things are what they are. She has full conversations with me, and she challenges me daily. I'm always looking for something for her to do. That's when I went looking for more help then Pinterest could give me. I wanted a plan and curriculum that worked for us. I found a Kindergarten Complete Full Year binder. Now I will say that this is not for everyone. Claire is very receptive, but not every three years old is going to be the same. It was intended for ages 4-5yrs. I don't push her and we go on a very relaxed schedule. I just love this kit that we have a plan. We always just pick up where we left off.

This all-inclusive, literature-based curriculum provides detailed lesson plans created around thematic units with a biblical worldview. These units cover skills in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Physical Development, Fitness, Fine Arts, Character Development, and Bible. The teacher’s manual includes step-by-step instructions, activities for different learning styles, all practice worksheets for each lesson, reading practice pages, enrichment activities to challenge advanced learners, patterns for art projects, handwriting guidelines, and an appendix with resources. Its everything I would have wanted and more! Im so excited to share it! Claire and I started a little over a month ago and I can see how much progress she has already learned. If you are looking to start learning early or if you need a complete Kindergarten kit I would recommend www.educents.com.

This set is here: https://www.educents.com/kindergarten-complete-full-year-bundle.html

One of my favorate things about a homeschool curriculum is that we can do it anywhere! Today it was on the back porch!

The worksheets are so easy to follow. As easy as 1,2,3. Claire likes doing it with a pen. She feels so official!

Thanks for reading. Feel free to ask me any questions!
